ADELINE MARANGA who is popularly known as DELA was born in 1989. Her singing debut began at the age of 7, featuring in church choir performances and consequently getting the attention of industry players; hence being featured as a backup vocalist for renowned artists like ACHIENG ABURA, THE VILLAGERS BAND, WAHU among others. Dela started singing professionally in 2008, at the tender age of 19; in a collaboration with Kenya’s most famous Afro – Pop band SAUTI SOL on a song called ‘Mama Papa’. This won her voluminous fans who have tethered to her incomparable voice. As a result, she was signed to PENYA AFRICA and in under a year the label Producer, Wawesh, produced her hit debut album titled PAUKWA. In 2010 Dela released her album PAUKWA which has hits like ‘Weche Tek” & “War in my heart”. The songs generally received positive reviews from music critics, who commended her vocal performance.

In 2015, her first single MAFEELINGS after rebranding became the only Kenyan female artiste with a song on every top 10 music countdown in every top African radio station.

In November 2015 she successfully released her first single as an Afro Pop artist. MAFEELINGS immediately identified with the masses as evident with the high levels of downloading and streaming of the song.
MAFEELINGS smashing hot video shot & directed by the award winning Nigerian director, CLARENCE PETERS followed right after. The song MAFEELINGS is still receiving massive airplay in radio & T.V stations across Africa topping various charts.
The cohesive sound only accentuates how Dela has definitively claimed this arena of dignified afro-pop as her own.
In December 2015 Dela released a cover of Adele’s smash hit Hello which garnered a substantial number of views on You Tube.
The cover song is acclaimed as arguably the best cover leading to her recognition by reputable international website & blogs like Marie Claire, Harpers Bazaar, Perez Hilton, CNN, Elle, Hello giggles, refinery29, Snip among other mentions.
2016 she has releasd two hot videos ‘Adabu’ and ‘Third Part Lover’, the single ‘Ahadi Zako’, ‘Mama’ appreciating all mothers worldwide in four languages, ‘Nakuahidi’ a collaboration with Gilad and many others on the line, waiting to be released.
